“We LOVE holding our retreats at OH. The great room transforms into a beautiful temple, the downstairs is cozy and has plenty of space to sleep 12 slumber party style. We adore the energy there, feeling the kids, the community, the hum of the hive, the bakery across the street, the land...Eleanor and the crew are fantastically attentive to details, communication, cleanliness and always have such a generous welcome and appreciation for us being there. I highly recommend this space!” - Jonah R.

ARTS PROGRAMS

Art is for everyone! New arts workshops are happening, offering expressive outlets and skill building for adults and older teens. Check out our upcoming winter offerings!

Interested in taking or leading an arts class? Email sam@theorchardschool.org for questions or proposals.

PRINTMAKING & DRAWING

Two arts series will run this winter. All materials are provided for these classes.

Print Workshop is an open studio for adults to explore printmaking skills and projects. Come once to try something new, or come back again to develop a project. Printmaking is fun!!! Use the registration link below to sign up for one of Sammy’s Printmaking classes, happening through March.

Drawing Together is a social drawing class for all ages. We will practice our observation skills while making tiny, huge, goofy, or special drawings together through drawing games. Every 3rd Monday of the month! No registration required.

Your creativity awaits you!

TEEN OPEN STUDIO

Every Thursday, Sammy leads high school aged students in Open Studio, co-creating artistic projects and inquiries both in the studio and with the land. We explore printmaking, photography, tool making, and much more. Know a teen someone who might be interested in a supportive, challenging, and creative after school community? Email Sammy at sam@theorchardschool.org

Gratitudes

Our deepest thanks to the New Hampshire Charitable Trust’s Catalyst Fund for a generous grant. The community funding work New Hampshire Charitable Trust does through these partnerships allows small organizations like ours with myriad activities, classes and programs to continue to have big outreach and impact.

Our deepest thanks to Joyce Curll for her generous donation to support the Center.

The Catalyst Fund and the Curll family have both supported The Center and the Orchard School community over many years. We are grateful!

To Laurel and Sammy for organizing our cozy and fun Card Making Party in December, gathering us to potato print, stamp, fold, chat and celebrate.

To Jules, Laurel, Eleanor, Petra, Andrea and Sammy for set up and creating beautiful community events in the Lantern Walk and Spiral Walk.

To Eleanor for adventuring forth to get an affordable stove for the Center and get it installed in time for December retreats, preschool days, and future meals and projects.

To Beth LeFreniere for agreeing to be our professional cleaning person, bringing her power cleaning skills to our kitchen and downstairs :)

To Bunny Ballentine who happened to stop by one day and wash the floors!

To Peter Rhoades for all the many greens for our Spiral Walk.

To Noah for paying for snow plowing,

and to Hans for doing that plowing!

To preschool teachers Jules and Gia and all the preschool families that bring  joy and energies to the Center every week!

To Jonah Rue and her powerful healing initiatives for groups, for women, for all the earth.

With love, towards the future,

Eleanor, Andrea, Sammy
